Native Instruments – Polyplex drum sampler
This week we take a look at Native Instruments’ Polyplex drum sampler. It’s been very useful in a number of recent projects we’ve worked on.
Polyplex runs on Reaktor, and allows you to very quickly add great sounding drums to your project. We loved its versatility, and were genuinely shocked at how many sounds come bundled with the sampler. It’s so intuitive and easy to use that it won’t put a dent in your workflow or creativity.
In the video we show you how every sound you play is composed of 4 layers, and each layer can be muted and edited to affect the sound, length, envelope, pan, etc. (01:59)
We underline one of its cool features: the roll of dice, which randomises the sound to get different flavours immediately! (02:25)
We use some of its great presets, and also show how you can deeply customise the sounds with effects to make them entirely your own. (04:58)
